GUIDE

The Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) is the first of the six main committees established by the United Nations General Assembly. Its focus is on promoting global peace by addressing issues related to disarmament, international security, and threats to world stability. In this edition of the model, the committee will discuss the Ethical and Legal Limits of Psychological Warfare under International Humanitarian Law, and the Use of Private Military Companies (PMCs) in Armed Conflicts. Both topics raise urgent questions regarding the morality, legality, and accountability during modern warfare, challenging delegates to propose strategies and frameworks that ensure security measures respect international law and human rights.
